Appendix C. Starting a Tool from Remote Installation Manager

You can register a desired tool and start it from Remote Installation Manager. Once the tool is started, the system configuration information of the host selected by Remote Installation Manager can be used as the argument for the tool.

For example, if a tool is registered that checks the connection status of the host specified by an IP address, the IP address of the host selected by Remote Installation Manager can be automatically loaded as the argument for the tool. Therefore, there is no need to specify an IP address after the tool has been started.

The registered tool can be started from the Start Tool menu. This menu can be displayed in the following windows of Remote Installation Manager:
