To prevent job execution unilaterally from a higher system (managing server) or execute a job when it is convenient for the client, you can use the job hold and cancellation facility .

To enable the job hold and cancellation facility, the following setup is required during the client setup:

Client setup at the JP1/Software Distribution Client (client)

On the Job Options page, select the check box for Confirm jobs before execution.
