You can check the patch information for each client on the Installed Packages page in the System Configuration, Destination or Directory Information window of Remote Installation Manager.

To display either the applied patch information or unapplied patch information of the client, select one of the following menus:

• To display only the applied patch information
  From the View menu, choose Filter Software and then Patch Information. In the Installed Package column, the applied patch names are preceded by the Other companies' software icon ().
  The ID of an applied patch begins with SUP- or WUA-SUP. 0000 is displayed for version and generation.
  Finished is displayed for Installation.
  
• To display only the unapplied patch information
  To display only the unapplied patch information, from the View menu, choose Filter Software and then Unapplied Patch Information. An icon () indicating an unapplied patch appears at the head of all unapplied patches in the Installed Package list. This icon is followed by an unapplied patch security number, which has the security-number (document-number) format. For example, a cumulative security update program (889293) for Internet Explorer with a security number MS04-040 is displayed as MS04-040(889293).
  An unapplied patch ID begins with BSA-. Both the version and generation number are displayed as 0000.
  Unapplied is displayed for Installation.
  

If patch information detected from a client is reported to a higher-level system of a version that does not support patch information detection, the received information is displayed as follows.

• When patch information is reported to a system running on a Windows version of JP1/Software Distribution Manager 07-00 or older or a Windows version of JP1/Software Distribution SubManager 07-00 or older
  An error (300097,00) is displayed in the Installation column on the Installed Packages page.
  
• When patch information is reported to a system running on a UNIX version of JP1/Software Distribution Manager or a UNIX version of JP1/Software Distribution Client (relay system)
  The managing server's End status displays 97 and End status 2 displays ff.
  

You can use Inventory Viewer to count the patch information detection results. To count unapplied patch information detection results, in the Condition Settings dialog box, select Unapplied patch information under Installed packages as the inventory information to be used as the condition. When counting is done using unapplied patch information as the counting condition, the number of clients to which the patch has not been applied is displayed.

To count the detection results for patches that have been applied to clients, in the Condition Settings dialog box, select one of the following items under Installed packages as the inventory information to be used as the condition:

• All
• Software in "Add/Remove Programs"
• Software not in "Add/Remove Programs"

You can also use the WUA or MBSA version information, which can be collected as part of the system information, as the counting condition. In the Condition Settings dialog box, select Windows Update Agent or MBSA under System information as the inventory information to be used as the condition. When counting is executed with this selection, the number of applicable clients for each version is displayed.
