6.7.8 Defining automatic update settings

To define judgment items relating to automatic updates in the Edit Judgment Policy (Judgments for PC security settings) window:

  1. In the Edit Judgment Policy (Judgments for PC security settings) window, select the Make this a judgment target check box.
    The items in the Edit Judgment Policy (Judgments for PC security settings) window are activated.
  2. In the Edit Judgment Policy (Judgments for PC security settings) window, select Automatic updates and then click the Definition button, or double-click Automatic updates.
    The Automatic Update Settings dialog box appears.

  3. Define the judgment conditions and security levels for automatic updates.
    The following table describes the setting items.

    1 Make this a judgment target Select whether to make Settings for Windows automatic updates a target for security level judgment. Off
    2 Settings for Windows automatic updates Condition for judging PC insecure Automatic updating is disabled. --
    3 Security level Select a security level from the pull-down menu.
    The following options are available:
    • Caution
    • Warning
    • Danger
    Warning
    4 Judgment if item is not applicable From the pull-down menu, select the desired behavior when the judgment item does not exist.
    The following options are available:
    • Set security level
    • Safe
    • Not applicable
    • Unknown
    Not applicable

    Legend:
    --: N/A

  4. Click the OK button.
    The Automatic Update Settings dialog box closes, and you are returned to the Edit Judgment Policy (Judgments for PC security settings) window.
