6.25.1 Prior confirmation

Before you start checking the operation of the system that you have configured, confirm the following so that this system will not affect other systems or will not become corrupted:

If all the following conditions are satisfied, a host in an unrelated hot-standby configuration might result in a failure:

Confirm that the address operand values in the HA Monitor environment settings are unique from any other hot-standby configuration by following the procedure described in 6.23.1 Checking the settings and definitions between multiple hot-standby configurations.

If a volume group set as a shared resource will connect automatically to a file system when the OS starts, the shared disk might be accessed from both hosts at the same time, resulting in corruption of data on the shared disk and in the file system.

Specify the settings so that a volume group set as a shared resource will not be connected automatically to a file system when the OS starts by following the procedures described in 6.3.9 Setting the file system and 6.12.1 Configuring a shared disk.
