3.5.5 Specifying the shared resource separation order
This subsection explains specification of the processing order for disconnecting shared resources. Shared resources are disconnected automatically at times such as when the server is terminated and when the hot standby operation is performed.
You can specify either of the following shared resource disconnection order options:
-
Disconnecting shared resources in the same order as their connection order
-
Disconnecting shared resources in the reverse order of their connection order
If you disconnect shared resources in the reverse order of their connection order, you can implement processing that depends on the shared resources within the user-specific termination processing in a user command because the shared resources are disconnected after the user command has been issued. When shared resources are connected, a user command is issued after the shared resources have been connected.
For details about the processing when shared resources are disconnected in reverse order, see 4.8.7 Processing flow for disconnecting shared resources in the reverse order from which they were connected.
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Required environment settings
Specify the deviceoff_order operand. By default, HA Monitor disconnects shared resources in the same order as their connection order.
The environment settings to be specified depend on the range to which disconnection in the reverse order is to be applied. If this operand is specified in both the HA Monitor environment settings and the server environment definition, the specification in the HA Monitor environment settings takes effect.
-
To apply the operand to all servers registered in HA Monitor:
Specify the operand in the HA Monitor environment settings.
-
To apply the operand only to specific servers:
Specify the operand in the server environment definitions.
