8.2 Definition rules
The following basic rules apply to specifying definitions:

The definition statements must be delimited by the semicolon (;).

The operands must be delimited by the comma (,).

Values must be delimited by the colon (:).

A comment must be enclosed between /* and */. If a text enclosed between /* and */ contains within it another text enclosed between /* or */, only the text segment bracketed by the first/* and the first */ is treated as a comment, and the remainder is treated as part of the definition statement.
