6.25 Checking the operation of the configured system
After you have completed the system configuration and have checked the settings and definitions, you must check the operation of the configured system. In the operation check, you actually start and terminate HA Monitor and the servers and perform the hot standby operation to determine whether HA Monitor runs successfully.
Note the following check items when you check the system operation:
-
Whether HA Monitor and the servers can be started and terminated normally
-
Whether there are any error messages
-
Whether servers and clients can communicate with each other
-
Whether job processing using servers can be performed successfully
-
Whether shared resources can be used from target hosts after hot standby processing
The following figure shows the procedure for checking system operation.
#1: When HA Monitor is terminated, the HA Monitor connection configuration file is also checked.
#2: Performed only when the monitor-mode program management function is used.
