The pdfstatfs command displays the status of a specified HiRDB file system area.

Any user (with or without privileges)

(a) -{c|d}

c

Specifies that 0 is to be set for the maximum size of the area used, the maximum number of files used, and the maximum number of extensions used in the area allocated in the HiRDB file system area. This option is applicable when the purpose of the HiRDB file system area is WORK or UTL.

d

Specifies that the maximum number of files used and the maximum number of extensions used in the area allocated in the HiRDB file system area are to be displayed.

(b) -S

Indicates the status of available free areas in the HiRDB file system area.

(c) -x

Specifies that the information is to be displayed in DAT format.

(d) -y

When the -x option is specified, specifies that a header is to be displayed.

(e) -b

Specifies that the sector length of the HiRDB file system area is to be displayed.

(f) -A

Specifies that all information about the HiRDB file system area is to be displayed.

In addition to the information that is displayed when the -d, -S, and -b options are specified, the following information is also displayed:

• Maximum value when the maximum number of extensions for the HiRDB file system area is changed
• Whether the HiRDB file system area is to be initialized
• File type at the target location where the HiRDB file system area is created

(a) HiRDB-file-system-area-name ~<pathname>((up to 165 characters))

Specifies the name of the HiRDB file system area whose status is to be displayed.

1. The pdfstatfs can be executed at any time, whether or not HiRDB is active.
2. The pdfstatfs command must be executed separately for each server machine containing the HiRDB file system area.
3. If you are executing the command on a HiRDB file system area that is used for shared RDAREAs, execute it from the server machine where the updatable back-end server is located.

1. Return code 0 for the pdfstatfs command indicates normal termination, and return code -1 indicates abnormal termination.
2. If the maximum size of the area used, the maximum number of files used, and the maximum number of extensions used are to be displayed by specifying the -d option after these values have been set to 0 with the -c option, the maximum size of the area used, the maximum number of files used, and the maximum number of extensions used that were used in the HiRDB file system area since the -c option was set can be acquired.
3. The maximum size of the area used, the maximum number of files used, and the maximum number of extensions used can be set to 0 with the -c option only if the usage purpose of the HiRDB file system area is WORK or UTL.
   If the usage purpose of the HiRDB file system area is SYS, DB, or SVR, the maximum size of the area used, the maximum number of files used, and the maximum number of extensions used cannot be set to 0 with the -c option. If the used area is initialized by the pdfzeroinit command, the maximum size of the area used, the maximum number of files used, and the maximum number of extensions used are set to 0.
   
4. The values displayed for the maximum size of the area used, the maximum number of files used, and the maximum number of extensions used are accumulated from the time the pdfmkfs or pdfzeroinit command was executed.
5. If you are using the HDP facility, do not specify the -c option. If the -c option is specified, used areas can no longer be initialized by the pdfzeroinit command.

aa...a:

Size (in KB) in the HiRDB file system area of the user area allocated to the user (up to 10 right-aligned decimal digits).

bb...b:

Size (in KB) in the user area of the unused space (space not allocated to HiRDB files) (up to 10 right-aligned decimal digits).

cc...c:

Maximum size (in KB) of one HiRDB file that can be allocated in a single extent (up to 10 right-aligned decimal digits).

dd...d:

Maximum number of files that can be created, as specified with the -l option of the pdfmkfs command (up to 4 right-aligned decimal digits).

ee...e:

Number of HiRDB files that have already been created (up to 4 right-aligned decimal digits).

ff...f:

Number of HiRDB files that can still be created (maximum number of creatable files less the number of files created already) (up to 4 right-aligned decimal digits).

gg...g:

Total number of noncontiguous free areas (up to 5 right-aligned decimal digits).

hh...h:

Maximum number of secondary allocations available to the HiRDB file system area, as specified with the -e option of the pdfmkfs command (up to 5 right-aligned decimal digits).

If the maximum number of extensions has been changed by the pdfchfs command, the value specified in the -e option of the pdfchfs command is displayed.

ii...i:

Total number of secondary allocations that have been executed for the HiRDB file system area (up to 5 right-aligned decimal digits).

jj...j:

HiRDB file system area's usage purpose, as specified in the -k option of the pdfmkfs command (up to 9 characters).

kk...k:

Login name of the user who initialized the HiRDB file system area.

ll...l:

Date and time the HiRDB file system area was initialized (24 characters).

This information is displayed in the format day month date hour:minute:second year.

The following output example is for 2005-01-07 (Friday) at 09:05:08:

User's maximum available space at the current time (up to 10 right-aligned decimal digits). This information is displayed only if the -d or -A option is specified.

nn...n:

The leading offset for an area being used or an area not being used in the HiRDB file system area (right-aligned). This information is displayed only if the -S or -A option is specified.

oo...o:

The size of an area being used or an area not being used in the HiRDB file system area (right-aligned). This information is displayed only if the -S or -A option is specified.

pp...p:

Indicates whether an area is being used.

This information is displayed only if the -S or -A option is specified.

qq...q:

Sector length of the HiRDB file system area (up to 4 right-aligned decimal digits).

Normally, this is 512 for a regular file and the sector length specified in the -s option of the pdfmkfs command for a character special file (1,024 when the option is omitted).

This information is displayed only if the -b or -A option is specified.

rr...r:

Whether the facility for automatic extension of the HiRDB file system area is applied:

Indicates whether the size of the HiRDB file system area is to be automatically expanded if there is no more free space in the HiRDB file system area when an RDAREA is automatically extended.

When USE is displayed, the values of user area capacity, remain user area capacity, peak capacity, and available file size change.

ss...s:

Maximum number of files being used currently by the user (up to 4 right-aligned decimal digits). This information is displayed only if the -d or -A option is specified.

tt...t:

Maximum number of extensions being used currently by the user (up to 5 right-aligned decimal digits). This information is displayed only if the -d or -A option is specified.

uu...u:

Maximum value (up to 5 right-aligned decimal digits) when the maximum number of extensions for the HiRDB file system area is to be changed.

This the maximum number of extensions specified in the -e option of the pdfmkfs command.

It is the maximum value that can be specified in the -e option of the pdfchfs command.

This information is displayed only if the -A option is specified.

v:

Whether the HiRDB file system area is to be initialized.

This shows whether the -i option was specified when the pdfmkfs command was executed.

Y: The -i option was specified.

N: The -i option was not specified.

If the HiRDB file system area was created with a HiRDB version earlier than 09-50, a hyphen (-) is displayed.

This information is displayed only if the -A option is specified.

www:

File type at the location where the HiRDB file system area was created:

CHR: Character special file

BLK: Block special file (Linux only)

REG: Regular file

If the HiRDB file system area was created with a HiRDB version earlier than 09-50, a hyphen (-) is displayed.

Rules for output in DAT format

1. For the rules for output in DAT format, see 1.5.3 Rules for output of command execution results in DAT format.
2. The sector length, the current maximum amount of usage by the user, the maximum number of files being used currently by the user, and the maximum number of extensions being used currently by the user are displayed only if the appropriate combination of information acquisition options is specified. If an information acquisition option is not specified, the command displays a null element without displaying the corresponding item.
