Organization of this subsection: (1) Facilities that cannot be used when a HiRDB expansion unit is used; (2) Facilities that cannot be used by HiRDB expansion units; (3) Facilities that cannot be used when FES is positioned in a HiRDB expansion unit

(1) Facilities that cannot be used when a HiRDB expansion unit is used

When a HiRDB expansion unit is used (HiRDB expansion unit is specified in the pd_system_expand_unit operand), the following facilities cannot be used:

Use of the pdchgconf command to modify the system configuration while HiRDB is active
Use of the pdprgrenew command to swap HiRDB with a corrected version while HiRDB is active
Disaster recovery using Real Time SAN Replication
Replication facility using HiRDB Datareplicator or HiRDB Dataextractor
Shared table
Security audit facility
Inner replica facility
Updatable online reorganization

(2) Facilities that cannot be used by HiRDB expansion units

When a HiRDB expansion unit is specified in the pd_system_expand_unit operand, the following facilities cannot be used by the HiRDB expansion unit:

Standby-less system switchover (1:1) facility
Standby-less system switchover (effects distributed) facility
Recovery-unnecessary front-end server

(3) Facilities that cannot be used when FES is positioned in a HiRDB expansion unit

When a HiRDB expansion unit is specified in the pd_system_expand_unit operand and an FES is positioned in the HiRDB expansion unit, a UAP that uses the X/Open XA interface cannot connect to HiRDB.
