Nonstop Database, HiRDB Version 9 System Operation Guide
If you link the performance trace facility to Hitachi Application Server, you can acquire root application information from Hitachi Application Server in HiRDB's performance traces when troubleshooting. This information can help you easily identify tasks in which a problem has occurred.
The following figure shows an example of acquiring performance trace information when linked with Hitachi Application Server.

The following program product versions are needed to link the performance trace facility to Hitachi Application Server:
When root application information is sent from Hitachi Application Server to the HiRDB client, it is passed from the HiRDB client to the HiRDB server when SQL code is executed.
In the HiRDB system, root application information is sent as performance-included information when a transaction begins (or when a transaction branch begins). Therefore, the root application information is output to the performance traces that occur after the transaction has begun. This means that the root application information as it existed when the transaction began might be output to the performance traces, even if the root application information changed during transaction processing.
