3.10.7 Outputting the system log file status information file (automatic extension facility)

When a trigger for automatically extending a system log file occurs, a system log file status information file is output. This file contains collected system log files, synchronization points, and transaction statuses. The system log file status information file is created under $PDDIR/spool/pdjnlinf. The file name is assigned according to the following format:

pdsnap.server-name.generation-number

Remarks
  • The generation number is 1 for the first automatic extension trigger after server startup, and 2 in all other cases.
  • If a file with the same name exists, it is overwritten.
  • If the name of the file has been changed, it might not be possible to delete the file using the pdcspool command.

For details about the output content of the system log file status information file, see 3.9.6 Output of status information file for system log files (function for monitoring the free area).
