The jnledit command enables the contents of a global archive unload journal file to be edited and output in text format so that the user can see and check them. The journals are edited on a block or record basis.

Executing the jnledit command outputs journals from all archive-journal source nodes. Journals can also be edited and output in the following ways:

• The journals at all nodes are sorted, then edited and output according to the time they were output to the system journal file of an archive-journal source node.
• Only the journals of specific nodes are edited and output.
• Of all nodes, only the journals relating to particular global transactions are extracted, then sorted, edited and output according to the time they were output to the system journal file.
