The dcmstart command enables one OpenTP1 node to start more than one OpenTP1 node that configures multinode areas or subareas.

Executing this command starts the following OpenTP1 nodes in normal startup mode or restart mode:

• All OpenTP1 nodes that configure multinode areas to which the OpenTP1 node corresponding to the command input environment variable DCDIR belongs
• All OpenTP1 nodes that configure the specified multinode subareas
• OpenTP1 nodes with the specified node identifiers

When the global archive journal facility is used, the archive-journal target node is started by the dcstart or dcmstart command as with other nodes. The global archive journal service must be started before other nodes; otherwise, the global archive journal service started later sometimes cannot perform archive processing.
