5.47 Thread Pool pane

Use the Thread Pool pane to view the list of thread pools available in the selected Java EE configuration. You can also create new thread pools and delete the existing thread pool(s).

The Thread Pool pane displays the following dynamic item:

Thread pool count

Displays (within parentheses) the total number of available thread pools.

The Thread Pool pane displays the following Thread Pool items in a tabular format:

Thread Pool Selector

Displays a check box for each thread pool(s) listed in the Thread Pool ID column. If the header check box of the Thread Pool Selector column is selected or cleared, then all the check boxes of the Thread Pool Selector column are selected or cleared respectively.

Thread Pool ID

Displays the ID of the thread pool (as a link). Click this link to display the general information of the corresponding thread pool in the Thread Pool General pane. By default, this column is sorted in ascending order.

Maximum Thread Pool Size

Displays the maximum number of threads that a thread pool can contain. This column can be sorted.

Minimum Thread Pool Size

Displays the minimum number of threads that a thread pool can contain. This column can be sorted.

Maximum Queue Size

Displays the maximum number of messages that can be queued until threads are available to process them for a network listener. This column can be sorted.

Idle Thread Time-out

Displays the amount of time (in seconds) after which the idle threads are removed from the pool. This column can be sorted.

The Thread Pool pane displays the following action items:

New button

To create a new thread pool, click the New button, to display the Create New Thread Pool dialog box, and then click the OK button.

Delete button

To delete the selected thread pool(s), click the Delete button, to display the Delete Thread Pool dialog box, and then click the OK button. By default, this button is disabled. To enable this button, select at least one thread pool ID by selecting a check box from the Thread Pool Selector column.
