5.36 HTTP Listener General tab

Use the HTTP Listener General tab to view the general information of the selected HTTP listener such as Port Number, Listener Status, Security Status, and Thread pool ID. You can also edit the Port Number and Thread pool ID of the selected HTTP listener.

The HTTP Listener General tab displays the following dynamic item:

Sub title

Displays the name of the selected HTTP listener.

The HTTP Listener General tab displays the following General items in a sequence:

Name

Displays the name of the selected HTTP listener.

Port Number text box

Specify the port number of the selected HTTP listener or an expression having a string token of the format ${character-string}, which resolves to a port number. When the string token is not defined in the Java EE server property dialog box, then the system default value is specified. By default, this text box displays the port number, which is already specified for the selected HTTP listener. For the expression value, you can refer to the Java EE Server Property tab or Clustered Java EE Server Property tab of the Java EE server, corresponding to the Java EE configuration. This is a mandatory item.

Status

Displays the status of the selected HTTP listener. The status can either be Enabled or Disabled.

Security

The security status can either be Enabled or Disabled. If the security status is Enabled, then the HTTP listener runs SSL.

Thread Pool ID list box

Specify the thread pool ID of the selected HTTP listener. By default, this list box displays the thread pool ID, which is already specified for the selected HTTP listener.

The HTTP Listener General tab displays the following action items:

Apply button

To apply the changes made to the selected HTTP listener, click the Apply button to display the Apply Changes dialog box, where you can confirm whether the port number specified in the Port Number text box should be applied to the selected HTTP listener. If all the mandatory items are specified, then this button is enabled.
