7.3.7 Exit codes and detail codes after installing Application Server for Developers

This section describes the meanings of the code and actions required to report errors that occurred during the installation of Application Server for Developers.

Verify the error code used to apply the patch that was displayed after PATCH END in installation_directory_of_Application_Server_for_Developers/install.log, and then take the required action.

The program file does not exist. The possible reason is as follows:

  • The required installation source files are not available.

  • /NOREBOOTNOLOGOFF is specified in the options of the product installer, but encryption is not specified in __PLABEL.DT2.

  • The installation source file cannot be accessed.

The installation was rejected. The possible reasons are as follows:

  • The prerequisite program does not exist.

  • The computer is in an environment where programs cannot be installed.

  • /NOREBOOTNOLOGOFF is specified in the options of the product installer, but encryption is not specified in __PLABEL.DT2.

If the prerequisite programs are not installed, install the required program, and then try again.

If the prerequisite programs were already installed, contact the help desk

The user who is installing the product does not have administrator privileges.

The user must have administrator privileges to install.

Install the product on a platform that supports the Application Server for Developers.

  • A Windows 64-bit edition of the product is installed in an environment where the 32-bit edition of the product is already installed.

  • A Windows 32-bit edition of the product is installed in an environment where the 64-bit edition of the product is already installed.

Uninstall the other editions of Application Server for Developers, and then install the latest edition of Application Server for Developers.
