4.1.11 Setting environment variables of the system
To set up a system by using Management Server, specify the following system environment variables. For details on how to set the system environment variables, see the OS documentation. Implement these settings on each host.
-
This environment variable specifies the output destination directory for the user dump created when the logical J2EE server is forcibly terminated.
The user dump file (cjmemdump.dmp) is created under the directory specified in this environment variable.
- (Example) C:\temp is set in the environment variable CJMEMDUMP_PATH
-
C:\temp\cjmemdump.dmp
Note the following points when you set up this environment variable:
-
Specify true in the adminagent.forcestop.threaddump key of adminagent.properties (Administration Agent property file). If true is not specified, the user dump is not output even if the environment variable CJMEMDUMP_PATH is set up.
-
Specify an existing directory in the environment variable CJMEMDUMP_PATH. If the directory does not exist, the user dump is not output.
-
If cjmemdump.dmp exists in the directory specified in the environment variable CJMEMDUMP_PATH, that file is overwritten.
-
This environment variable specifies the time zone. Normally, specify JST-9. You can also specify other values.
- Important note
-
(for Windows)
The environment variable ComSpec is set up as the system environment variable when Windows is installed. If the environment variable ComSpec does not exist, problems, such as failure of PRF to start, occur. Make sure that the environment variable ComSpec is set up, and if the environment variable does not exist, specify the full path of the command line interpreter (such as cmd.exe).
