1.4 Overview of operation format to be executed by the management portal or the Smart Composer functionality
This section describes the configuration of system that we recommend to be set up by using the management portal or the Smart Composer functionality.
You can set up a system with an operation format described in the following table by using the management portal or the Smart Composer functionality.
No. |
System operation format |
Reference |
---|---|---|
1 |
Operation format for enhancing the system performance by allocating Web server to a separate host |
|
2 |
Operation format for expanding the system scale by increasing the number of hosts (scale-out) |
|
3 |
Operation format for reducing the system scale by decreasing the number of hosts (scale-in) |
|
4 |
Operation format to output the configuration or definition information, and migrate the system environment to other host |
|
5 |
Operation format for using the logical user server |
|
6 |
Operation format for using the environment to execute the batch applications |
|

You can also set up the following types of systems that use Application Server functionality
-
Management server model (allocating the management functionality on a separate host)
-
Scheduling functionality using CTM
-
MQ model (TP1/Message Queue linkage)
-
Reverse proxy
To use the other functionality, set up a system after performing detailed designing such as determining the system configuration suitable for the functionality to be used, and the parameter design. Setup this system as well using the management portal or the Smart Composer functionality. For details on systems that use the other functionality, see 4.8 Setting up the system using the other functions. For details on the other functionality, see the following functionality guides:
