10.4.3 Items displayed in the Job Status window
This section describes the items displayed in the Job Status window.
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Items
The Job Status window shows the following information.
|
- Status
-
This column shows the current job status in percentage (%). In the case of a configuration where the managing server is connected to a managed computer via a relay system, 50% represents that the job has been transferred to the relay system. If there are multiple relay systems, the value depends on the number of relay systems.
The job status changes as follows:
- 0%
-
The managing server has created the job, but has not been transferred yet.
- 20%
-
The managing server has started the job transfer. In the case of a split distribution job, the display changes in small increments depending on the split distribution progress rate.
- 50%
-
The job has been transferred to the relay system. This value will not be displayed in a configuration without a relay system. In the case of a split distribution job, if the Notify JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager of the status of the split distribution executed on the lower JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Agent check box has been selected in the Settings to send notifications to JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 - Manager page opened from the Relay system settings in the agent configurations, the display changes in small increments depending on the split distribution progress rate.
- 70%
-
The job is transferred to the managed computer, and is waiting for execution. This value will not be displayed for a job that is executed immediately after being transferred to the managed computer.
- 100%
-
The job processing has finished.
- Result
-
This column displays the current job condition. For details about the job execution status, see 10.4.3(3)(a) Types of job execution status.
- Finished/Errors/Total
-
Displays the number of finished jobs, the number of errors, and the total number of jobs.
- Selected destination
-
Displays the route of the job, and indicates to what point of the route the processing has finished. A route shown in blue indicates that the processing has started, and a route shown in black indicates that the processing has not been finished.
- Scheduled date/time
-
Displays the date and time when the job is to be executed.
- Execution time limit
-
Displays the time limit by when the job is executed.
- Execution date/time
-
Displays the date and time when the job was executed.
- Scheduled installation date/time
-
Displays the date and time when the package is to be installed.
(2) Execution status color
Job statuses are color-coded. The following describes the relationship between the display colors and the execution statuses.
- Green
-
Represents a job that is completed.
- White
-
Represents a job that is running, or has not been executed because the computer is not running.
This kind of job includes jobs waiting for a user to log in to the managed computer, jobs that were set to be executed the next time the computer starts and with Waiting for installation status, and jobs that are waiting for collection during remote collection.
- Dark gray
-
Represents a job whose execution is suspended.
- Red
-
Represents a job on which an error occurred.
- Orange
-
Represents a job on which a communication error occurred during the file transfer. This does not include a communication error between an ID-management relay computer and a managed computer.
Only the following types of jobs can have the Communication error status.
-
Install package#
-
Send package, allow client users to choose
-
Transfer package to relay system
-
Get system information from computer (UNIX)#
-
Acquire collected files from relay computer
-
Get system configuration information
-
Hold report
-
Cancel holding of report
Note that a setup in the managing server is required before you can monitor a job with a communication error.
-
- #
-
This job is also applicable to agents for Mac. Therefore, the job is also subject to monitoring of communication errors when the destination is an agent for Mac.
- Light gray
-
Represents a job that is currently being deleted on a relay system, management relay server, or a managed computer. These kinds of jobs are not displayed by default.
For details about how to display job(s) that are being deleted, see 10.4.4(6) Displaying a job that is being deleted.
If a job has multiple statuses, the job is displayed with the color associated with the lowest or worst status. For example, in a job that remotely installs multiple packages, if some packages are Completed, some are Running, and others are Error, the job is displayed in red (the color for Error).
(3) Job execution status
This section describes how to check the transition of job status by progress, color, and status displayed in the Job Status window.
For details about how to check transition of the status of an ID group job, see 10.4.5 Checking the status of an ID group job.
(a) Types of job execution status
The following table shows the types of execution statuses displayed in the Job Status window.
Job execution status |
Job Status |
Status Color |
Description |
---|---|---|---|
Waiting for execution |
0% |
White |
The job was created, but waiting to be transferred from the management server. |
Running |
20% to 70% |
White |
The job is being transferred to the managed computer, or the job is running. |
Startup failure#1 |
0% to 50% |
White |
The system tried to transfer the job, but the relay system or managed computer is not running. |

Execution of the job is resumed due to a resuming instruction. |
Waiting for installing/collecting |
70% |
White |
The job is waiting for remote installation or collection or is being processed on the managed computer. |
Installation rejected |
70% |
Light gray |
Package installation cannot be rejected, but an installation rejection command (rdsinsset -d) was executed on an agent for UNIX. |

If the system is set to break down the cause of a Startup failure, the following statuses are displayed:
-
If the machine was not started because JP1/IT Desktop Management 2 is stopped: Startup failure. (IT Desktop Management 2 is stopped.)
-
If the machine was not started because the PC is shut down: Startup failure (Machine is powered off)
-
If the machine was not started due to a cause other than the above (for example a network problem): Startup failure
Note that if a packet for checking that the machine is started is lost, the system displays Startup failure (Machine is powered off).

- #2
-
If the job type is Install package, the following statues are displayed:
-
When the installation package is executed: Completed
-
The package has been distributed but was not executed: Completed (distributed)
