2.3.4 Adding SAP system entries to the services file

Add the service name and the port number of the connection destination message server in the services file when you connect a message server.

The following table describes the specification format for the service name and the port number of the message server to be connected.

Specify the system ID of the SAP system for sid in sapmssid.

For example, if the system ID of the connection destination message server is SD1 and the port number of the message server is 3601/tcp, add the following entry (server name and port number) to the services file:

sapmsSD1 3601/tcp
