9.1.3 Monitoring JP1/AJS3 by using JP1/IM3
This subsection describes how to use JP1/IM3 to monitor JP1/AJS3.
For details about JP1/IM3, see the JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager Overview and System Design Guide.
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Monitoring of the execution time of a root jobnet and its increase rate
JP1/AJS3 can link with JP1/IM3 to share (as metrics) execution time information of root jobnets with JP1/IM3, and then share it as trend information in JP1/IM3. Also, by monitoring the execution time of the root jobnet, you can detect anomalies in execution time and signs of increasing execution time.
Anomaly detection can identify events that deviate from past patterns in execution time. You can detect anomalies that cannot be detected by job status monitoring, such as sudden decreases in execution time due to processing misses. In addition, when operating JP1/AJS3 for an extended period, the execution time for root jobnets might gradually increase. As a result, the root jobnets might not be completed within the originally planned execution time. By using predicted values calculated from past execution times, you can detect signs of increasing execution times.
The monitoring of root jobnet net execution time is shown in the following figure:
