-
Before executing this command, make sure that the Management Portal execution environment has been set up and the JP1/AJS3 System Control Manager service or the JP1/AJS3 System Control Agent service is running. If the Management Portal execution environment has not been set up, set it up by using the ajssysctlsetup command.
-
If the target service is processing a client's operation request, the service stops without waiting until the requested processing ends.
-
This command stops immediately when a stop request is sent to the JP1/AJS3 System Control Manager service or the JP1/AJS3 System Control Agent service. Therefore, you cannot check whether the service was stopped successfully from the execution results of this command. To check whether the service was stopped, use the ajssysctlstatus command.
-
If this command is used to stop the JP1/AJS3 System Control Manager service or JP1/AJS3 System Control Agent service, the command does it by communicating with the local host via TCP/IP according to the JP1/Base physical host communication settings. Therefore, if the IP address corresponding to the local host name (shown by the hostname command) can be used to communicate with another host, the command might stop the service on the other host.
If you execute the command in this environment, beforehand, set the hosts, DNS, jp1hosts, or jp1hosts2 file so that the local host name can resolve into the local host IP address.
For details about the jp1hosts or jp1hosts2 file, see the JP1/Base User's Guide.
