D. Notes on using the Web GUI in a smart device environment
The following provides notes on using the Web GUI in a smart device environment:
-
The graphics performance of the Web GUI depends on the amount of memory installed on the smart device. We recommend that you use a smart device with at least 2 GB of memory.
-
Make sure that the number of units that make up a root jobnet monitored by the Web GUI (Job Portal) does not exceed 1,000. If the number of units exceeds 1,000, the web browser might hang or might be unable to display information correctly.
-
In a smart device environment, the following Web GUI (Job Portal) functions cannot be used:
-
Linking JP1/PFM
Although linkage with JP1/PFM has been set up, the Open PFM Report button, which opens the PFM - Web Console window from the Web GUI (Job Portal), is not displayed.
-
Applying and acquiring the operation permission settings
The Management menu is not displayed even when a user who sets permissions logs in.
-
-
In a smart device environment, you cannot perform the following operations with the Web GUI:
-
Moving and resizing a displayed dialog box
-
Changing the order of monitoring-target display areas displayed in the Dashboard screen
-
Checking of the content represented by an ellipsis (...) when a list is displayed
-
-
In a smart device environment, some system behavior in the following Web GUI (Job Portal) dialog boxes is different from that in the standard environment:
-
Set Monitoring Targets dialog box
When an item is selected in Jobnet or Monitored units, a select box is displayed.
-
Setting dialog box
When an item is selected in Non-display item or Displayed item, a select box is displayed.
-
-
Disable the pop-up blocker of the web browser. If the pop-up blocker is enabled, correct operation might not be possible. For example, the Monthly window does not open.
-
Do not use the Web GUI with a web browser with private browsing enabled. If private browsing is enabled, correct operation might not be possible. For example, the Monthly Schedule screen does not open.
