12.3.11 Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box (for a nested remote jobnet)
The Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box (for a nested remote jobnet) defines the details about a nested remote jobnet.
This dialog box contains the items displayed in common, and also contains the following pages:
-
Definition page
-
Attributes page
- Organization of this subsection
(1) Items displayed in common
The following figure shows the items displayed in common.
The following explains the items displayed in common.
- Unit name
-
Specify a unit name. Use a character string of up to 30 bytes. The default is a blank.
- Comment
-
Specify a comment for the unit. Use a character string of up to 80 bytes. The default is a blank.
- Exec-agent
-
Specify the execution agent name or execution agent group name to be assigned the task of job execution. Use a character string of up to 255 bytes. The execution agent name or execution agent group name must already be defined in the JP1/AJS3 - Manager you specified in Target manager.
The execution agent name that is used in the job definition differs depending on whether the execution agent is specified for a remote jobnet and whether the execution agent is specified for a job in the remote jobnet.
The following table shows the value used for each specification.
Table 12‒11: Execution agent name to be used in the job definition Whether the execution agent is specified for a job in the remote jobnet
Yes
No
Whether the execution agent is specified for a remote jobnet
Yes
Execution agent name specified for the job
Execution agent name specified for the remote jobnet
No
Execution agent name specified for the job
Default execution agent name in the JP1/AJS3 - Manager specified in Target manager
For details about execution agents, see 5.1.1 Execution agents in the manual JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Overview.
- Cautionary note
-
If you selected Queueless Agent for Exec. service for a job in the jobnet, specify the execution host name.
(2) Definition page
The following figure shows the Definition page in the Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box (for a nested remote jobnet).
The following explains the displayed items.
- Target manager
-
Specify the name of the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host to which you want to transfer a nested remote jobnet to be executed. Use a character string of up to 255 bytes. The default is a blank.
The scheduler service that executes a remote jobnet is determined by the specification of the environment setting parameter REMNETSERVICENAME for JP1/AJS3 - Manager on the host to which the jobnet is to be transferred.
- Priority
-
Specify the priority of a job. You can specify None or 1 to 5. The highest priority is 5. The default is None. If you set None for the priority of a job in a jobnet, the system uses the priority of the upper-level jobnet. The system uses this value if you set None for the priority of a job in a jobnet. If the priority of a job and of all upper-level jobnets is set to None, the priority value set for the environment setting parameter DEFAULTPRIORITY is applied to that job.
In UNIX, if non-root users execute jobs resulting from mapping, specifying the value of 4 or 5 will result in an authority error at the time of job execution.
- Monitor jobnet
-
When using the required jobnet execution time to monitor the end delay of the jobnet, select Time-required-for-execution and specify the required jobnet execution time in minutes. You can specify 1 to 2,879. In the default mode, Time-required-for-execution is not checked.
(3) Attributes page
The following figure shows the Attributes page in the Define Details - [Remote Jobnet] dialog box (a nested remote jobnet).
The following explains the displayed items.
- Hold
-
Specify whether to place the unit in the hold status in advance. You can specify No or Yes. The default is No.
- Type
-
Set the unit type to Normal or Recovery. The default is Normal.
- Owner
-
Specify the owner of the unit. Use a character string of up to 31 bytes. The default is the login JP1 user name. Note that if the upper-level unit-attribute inheritance function has been set for the upper-level jobnet, the default is the owner of the upper-level unit.
- JP1 resource group
-
Specify a JP1 resource group name. Use a character string of up to 63 bytes. You can specify alphanumeric characters and underscores (_). The default is the JP1 resource group name of the upper-level unit. If you set a blank, you are not authorized to access this group.
