10.4.2 Executing a JP1/AJS3 command
A JP1/AJS3 command can be executed from any of the following windows:

JP1/AJS3 - View window (Main window)

JP1/AJS3 - View window (Summary Monitor window)

Jobnet Editor window
-
Daily Schedule (Hierarchy) window
-
Daily Schedule (All Jobs) window
-
Monthly Schedule window
-
Jobnet Monitor window

Search window
To execute a JP1/AJS3 command:

Open any one of the above windows.

Select the unit for which the command is to be executed.
- Cautionary note:

In the cases below, you do not need to select a unit. The command is executed according to the content specified in the command line.
- When parameters are not used in Command argument or in Output
- When only the following items are used as parameters:
- User name
- Year
- Month
- Day
- Time

From the Options menu, select JP1/AJS3 Command Settings.
The JP1/AJS3 Command Settings dialog box appears.

In the JP1/AJS3 Command Settings dialog box, select the command that you want to execute.

Click the Start button.
A message box appears asking you whether you really want to execute the selected command.

Click the Yes button.
The command is executed according to permissions of the JP1 user who is logged into JP1/AJS3 - View.
When command execution finishes, the JP1/AJS3 Command Execution Result dialog box appears, and you can check the command execution result.

If the JP1/AJS3 Command Settings menu is disabled, JP1/AJS3 Command is not displayed in the shortcut menu.

During command execution, if the command process is forcibly terminated on the manager host, the execution results before termination might be output to the output file. In such a case, 0 might be displayed as the Return code in the JP1/AJS3 Command Execution Result dialog box.

The following operations cannot be performed during command execution:
- Terminating JP1/AJS3 - View
- Closing the window that executed the command
