9.7 Temporarily changing the delay monitor date and time of jobnets

This subsection describes the procedure for temporarily changing the delayed start monitor time and date and the delayed end monitor time and date defined for jobnets.

You can also use the ajsplan command to temporarily change the delay monitor time and date of jobnets. For details of the command, see the description of ajsplan in 3. Commands Used for Normal Operations in the manual JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Command Reference.

To temporarily change the delay monitor time and date:

  1. In the JP1/AJS3 - View window, in Function Menu, click Status Monitor.

    Status Monitor is now selected.

  2. In the tree area, click the job group that manages the jobnet for which you want to change the date and time that delay detection starts.

The job group you clicked is now selected.

The root jobnet appears in the list area.

  3. Click the root jobnet containing the target jobnet, choose View, Daily Schedule, and then Hierarchy.

The Daily Schedule (Hierarchy) window appears.

  4. In the tree area, click the target jobnet.

The jobnet you clicked is now selected.

  5. In the schedule area, for the job selected in step 4, click the colored mark whose delay monitor time and date you want to change. Alternatively, in the execution result list, click the line whose delay monitor time and date you want to change.

  6. In the Operations menu, choose Change Delay Monitor.

The Change Delay Monitor Temporarily dialog box appears.

  7. Change the delay monitor time and date for the start of the jobnet execution and the delay monitor time and date for the end of the jobnet execution.

  8. Click the OK button.

The Change Delay Monitor Temporarily dialog box is closed.

The delay monitor time and date is temporarily changed.

Cautionary note

You can change the delayed start monitor time and date for jobnets whose status is Wait for start time, Wait for prev. to end, or Being held (that is, jobnets that have not started yet), and jobnets that have an end status. For jobnets only, you can change the delayed end monitor time and date as well as monitoring according to the required execution time. If you change the delay monitor date and time of a completed jobnet, the delay monitor date and time will apply when the jobnet is re-executed.

You can also use the ajsplan command to change the delayed start monitor time and date or the delayed end monitor time and date of a completed jobnet, specifying the jobnet's execution ID or execution registration number.

Supplementary notes
  • You can also change the delay monitor date and time for jobnets in the following windows:

    - Monthly Schedule window

    - Jobnet Monitor window

  • Delay monitor can also be started according to required execution time. To specify the start of delay monitor according to required execution time, use Monitor jobnet in the Define Details dialog box. For details, see 12.3 JP1/AJS3 - View window.
