4.1 Start modes of the JP1/AJS3 - View window
With JP1/AJS3 - View, you can select a display mode for the JP1/AJS3 - View window and the functions that are available in the selected mode. These display modes are called start modes.
Three start modes are provided:
-
In Normal mode, you are able to display only the menus, units, and display items that are necessary by selecting an operational objective from the function menus related to defining, executing, and monitoring units. Because only the functions that are relevant to the operational objective you select are provided, operational errors can be prevented.
When you install JP1/AJS3 - View for the first time, the JP1/AJS3 - View window is displayed in this mode.
For details about the basic operations, see 4.2.1 Normal mode.
-
In Monitoring mode, you can monitor the progress of jobnets by specifying those whose progress you want to monitor. However, in this mode, you cannot define units or register units for execution. Specify Monitoring mode when you only need to monitor the progress of tasks.
For details about the basic operations, see 4.2.2 Monitoring mode.
-
In Compatible mode, JP1/AJS3 - View can be operated in the same way that it was operated before version 09-00. The functions not related to the current operational objective are also provided.
The JP1/AJS3 - View window appears in this mode if you perform an upgrade installation from JP1/AJS2 - View version 8 or earlier.
For details about the basic operations, see 4.2.3 Compatible mode.
For details about how to specify a start mode, see 11.2.2 Changing the start mode.
