16.1.1 Logging in to the Management Portal

To operate the management portal, you must log in to JP1/AJS3 - Manager from a web browser.

To log in from your web browser:

  1. In the address bar of your web browser, enter the URL of the Login screen for management portal.

    http://host-name-or-IP-address-of-Web-Console-server:port-number/ajs/login_mp.html

The default port number is 22252 for HTTP connections and 22253 for HTTPS connections.

Prefix the URL with https if you have SSL enabled and wish to connect using HTTPS.

If the manager hosts to which the Web Console server can connect are restricted and the specified input method for Host to connect is a drop-down list, select the name of the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host to which a connection is to be established from the drop-down list.

When login is successful, the Summary screen of the management portal appears.

Cautionary notes
  • If no request is issued to the Web Console server after login, a session timeout occurs, and the login is canceled. The session timeout period for the management portal can be specified by using the environment setting file (ajs3web.conf). The default is 15 minutes. For details about the environment settings file (ajs3web.conf) in Windows, see 3.4.3 Details on the settings in the environment-settings file (ajs3web.conf) in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide. For details about the environment settings file (ajs3web.conf) in Linux, see 13.3.3 Details on settings in the environment-settings file (ajs3web.conf) in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 Configuration Guide.

  • If you use the Web GUI for a long time, restart the Web browser once a day. The KNAK2416-Q message appears after the Web GUI has been used for 25 hours.

  • If the manager hosts to which the Web Console server can connect are restricted and the name of a host to which Web Console is not permitted to connect is specified for Host to connect, attempts to log in will fail with the KNAK3279-E message.
