9.2.1 Using the automatic maintenance function
This subsection describes how to use the automatic maintenance function for maintenance.
The automatic maintenance function automatically performs maintenance once a day at the specified time.
If you need advanced scheduling, for example, to perform maintenance after a specific job, we recommend that you define the ajsembdbreclaim command as a JP1/AJS3 job. For details, see 9.2.2(1) Executing the ajsembdbreclaim command automatically.
The DBAUTOMAINTENANCE environment setting parameter specifies whether the automatic maintenance function is to be used.
