7.9.7 Upgrade the version of the OS on the host that runs JP1/AJS3
For JP1/AJS3 - Manager and JP1/AJS3 - Agent, you cannot perform an in-place upgrade#1 of the OS while JP1/AJS3 and JP1/Base are installed, as JP1/Base, which is a prerequisite product, does not support in-place upgrades. When you perform an in-place upgrade of the OS, you must uninstall JP1/AJS3 and JP1/Base beforehand.
For JP1/AJS3 - View and JP1/AJS3 - Web Console, JP1/Base is not a prerequisite product, so in-place upgrades#1 are only possible when all of the following conditions are met:

The OS permits in-place upgrades.

The OS is one for which in-place upgrades are supported by the product#2.

Perform a major version upgrade of the OS while retaining the JP1/AJS3 installation and carrying over the settings.
