7.9.7 Upgrade the version of the OS on the host that runs JP1/AJS3
You can perform an in-place upgrade#1 only if the following conditions are met:

The OS permits in-place upgrades.

The prerequisite product permits in-place upgrades.

It is not OS that do not support in-place upgrades#2.

Perform a major version upgrade of the OS while retaining the JP1/AJS3 installation and carrying over the settings.
