7.9.2 Changing the IP address of the host that runs JP1/AJS3

We will explain the procedures for changing the IP address of the host that runs JP1/AJS3 and changing the IP address found from the real host name separately for JP1/AJS3 - Manager, JP1/AJS3 - Agent, JP1/AJS3 - Web Console, and JP1/AJS3 - View.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Notes on changing the IP addresses

(2) Procedure for changing the IP address of JP1/AJS3 - Manager

Before changing the IP address of JP1/AJS3 - Manager, perform the following.

Preparation
  • Make sure that the following operations are not performed from another host to the manager host whose IP address is to be changed.

    - Logging in or performing operations from JP1/AJS3 - View or JP1/AJS3 - Web Console

    - Executing APIs

    - Executing remote commands

    - Executing remote jobnets

    - Executing jobs for which the execution destination of the job is the manager host whose IP address is to be changed

    - Controlling the execution order of root jobnets between different scheduler services that use jobnet connectors or connection-destination jobnets of the manager host whose IP address is to be changed

  • Make sure that queueless jobs are not being executed.

If you change the IP address of the manager host while a queueless job is running on an agent host, the end status of the job becomes Unknown end status on the manager host. To change the IP address, be sure to make sure that queueless jobs are not being executed. In addition, if the end status of a job becomes Unknown end status, check the end status of the job from the queueless log file of the agent host.

The procedure for changing the IP address of JP1/AJS3 - Manager is as follows.

  1. Log off from JP1/AJS3 - View and JP1/AJS3 - Web Console.

  2. Stop the JP1/AJS3 services on the manager host.

For details on JP1/AJS3 services, see 4.2.1 Types of JP1/AJS3 services in the JP1/Automatic Job Management System 3 System Design (Configuration) Guide.

For details on how to stop JP1/AJS3 services manually, see 6.1.2 Stopping JP1/AJS3 services manually.

In addition, for the JP1/AJS3 services, stop the services on the physical host and all logical hosts.

  3. Perform the following procedure as required.

    No.
