6.7.3 Settings for the Web GUI (Management Portal)
To use the Web GUI (Management Portal), you must set it up on both the manager host and agent host.

(1) Procedure for setup on the manager host
Use the following procedure to set up the Web GUI (Management Portal) on the manager host:

Stop the JP1/AJS3 service if it is running.

Register a JP1 user to use the Web GUI (Management Portal), and then map that user to an OS user# who has administrator permissions.

Set up the JP1/AJS3 System Control Manager service and JP1/AJS3 System Control Agent service by executing the ajssysctlsetup command.

Restart the JP1/AJS3 service.

(2) Procedure for setup on the agent host
Use the following procedure to set up the Web GUI (Management Portal) on the agent host:

(3) OS user to be mapped to a JP1 user
The permission needed by the OS user differs depending on whether the UAC function is enabled.

(4) Changing the settings for the Web GUI (Management Portal)
Use the following procedure to change the settings for the Web GUI (Management Portal):

In Windows Control Panel, open the Services administrative tool, and stop the following services:

JP1/AJS3 service

JP1/AJS3 System Control Manager service

JP1/AJS3 System Control Agent service

Execute the jajs_config command to set the environment setting parameter described in (5) below:

Restart JP1/AJS3.
The new settings are applied.
