21.8.6 Settings for using the destination port mapping function

This section describes the procedure for enabling the destination port mapping function.

If you use the destination port mapping function to set the port numbers used for communication from a JP1/AJS3 - Manager host to JP1/AJS3 - Agent hosts, perform this procedure on the JP1/AJS3 - Manager host.

When configuring the communication port by using the destination port mapping function for communication from JP1/AJS3 - Agent (relay agent) to JP1/AJS3 - Agent (destination agent) or from JP1/AJS3 - Agent (relay agent) to JP1/AJS3 - Agent (broadcast agent), set this parameter on the JP1/AJS3 - Agent (relay agent).

Organization of this subsection

(1) Setting the procedure

  1. On the host where the destination port mapping function is enabled, stop the JP1/AJS3 service according to the service for which the port number is defined by using the destination port mapping function.

    In Windows:

In Windows Control Panel, open the Services administrative tool, and stop the following service:

    - When setting the destination port for jp1ajs2qagt, jp1ajs2eaagt, or jp1ajs2qlagt

    [Figure][Figure]JP1/AJS3 service

    - When setting the destination port for jp1ajs2chkagt

    [Figure][Figure]JP1/AJS3 Check Manager service

    - When setting the destination port for jp1ajs2atmsg or jp1ajs3sysctla

[Figure][Figure]Stopping the service is not necessary.

    In UNIX:

Execute the following commands to stop the JP1/AJS3 service, and then make sure that all processes are stopped:

    - When setting the destination port for jp1ajs2qagt, jp1ajs2eaagt, or jp1ajs2qlagt

    [Figure][Figure]# /opt/jp1ajs2/bin/jajs_spmd_stop

    [Figure][Figure]# /opt/jp1ajs2/bin/jajs_spmd_status

    - When setting the destination port for jp1ajs2chkagt

    [Figure][Figure]# /opt/jp1ajs2/bin/ajschkstop

    - When setting the destination port for jp1ajs2atmsg or jp1ajs3sysctla

[Figure][Figure]Stopping the service is not necessary.

  2. On the host on which to enable the destination port mapping function, set the environment setting parameter in (2) Environment setting parameter shown later by executing a command in the following format:

    jajs_config -k definition-key "parameter-name"=value
  3. Restart the services that you stopped in step 1.

    The new settings are applied.
