6.2.3 Changing the date and time of the system on which JP1/IM - EG for NNMi is running
This subsection describes the procedures for changing the system date and time while JP1/IM - EG for NNMi is running.

(1) Procedures for changing the system date and time
This subsection describes the procedures for changing the system date and time.
- Setting the system date and time to an earlier time

Avoid changing the system date and time to an earlier time. If you do so, JP1 events might not be issued or duplicate JP1 events might be issued.
To set the system date and time to an earlier time:

Terminate JP1/IM - EG for NNMi.

Set the system date and time.

Delete the imevtgw_nnmi_last_forwarded.conf file#.

Keep JP1/IM - EG for NNMi stopped until the system date and time that was in effect before the change is reached (until the date and time at which step 2 was performed).

Execute the following command to check the value of the startup option:
jegn_setup -list [-h logical-host-name]

Execute the following command:
jegn_setup -update [-h logical-host-name] -startup 0

Start JP1/IM - EG for NNMi.

Execute the following command to restore the value of the startup option:
jegn_setup -update [-h logical-host-name] -startup the-value-checked-in-step-5

Execute the following command to apply the value of the startup option specified in step 8:
jegn_spmd_reload [-h logical-host-name]

To advance the system date and time to a point in the future:

Terminate JP1/IM - EG for NNMi.

Set the system date and time.

Delete the imevtgw_nnmi_last_forwarded.conf file#.

Execute the following command to check the value of the startup option:
jegn_setup -list [-h logical-host-name]

Execute the following command:
jegn_setup -update [-h logical-host-name] -startup 0

Start JP1/IM - EG for NNMi.

Execute the following command to restore the value of the startup option:
jegn_setup -update [-h logical-host-name] -startup the-value-checked-in-step-4

Execute the following command to apply the value of the startup option specified in step 7:
