3.5.9 Searching for IM management node
In the Operating status area of integrated operation viewer (display format: search results), you can enter a keyword to search for IM management node you want to view, and then list the node names (display names on the tree) # and tree path that partially match the search keyword (Node search).
- #
-
When the Operating status area is displayed in tree chart format, this is the name of the category of management group or the system name displayed in the tree. The name that is the source of the display name is not searched.
Nodes that can be referenced by the logged-in JP1 user (all nodes displayed in tree chart format) are searched.
The following are the use cases for Node search:
For details on Node search display, see 2.5.3 Displaying search result format in the JP1/Integrated Management 3 - Manager GUI Reference.
■Search for the target node by node name and check the operation status.
-
When the node name is unique and uniquely determined
-
Enter a name such as a host node and search for it to identify the target node.
-
Select the node you identified and check the status of the node.
-
-
The node name is duplicated, but it is uniquely determined by the unique node name included in tree path.
-
Search by entering node names such as categories and subcategories, and narrow down to nodes with the same node name.
-
Identify the desired node from the unique node name (such as the host name) contained in tree path of the node.
-
Select the node you identified and check the status of the node.
-
■Identify the target node name using ambiguous keywords as a clue and check the operating status.
-
Narrowing down host category objects from the top of the tree, such as the system name
-
Enter a part of the system name or subsystem name and search
-
Identify the desired node from the search result list.
-
Select the node you identified and check the status of the node.
Because the subordinate nodes of the searched node are not displayed in the search result list, if you want to identify the subordinate node, specify the subordinate node by displaying tree chart format in the Operating status area.
When you identify a node under tree chart format, you can collapse or expand below the child node as needed to identify it smoothly.
-
-
To identify a higher-level host system from Exporter or jobnet name
-
Enter a part of Exporer or jobnet name to identify the target node.
-
Check tree path of the node to identify the host node or system node at the top.
-
Select the node you identified and check the status of the node.
