14.3.2 Configuration for centrally monitoring the systems with the Intelligent Integrated Management Base
Intelligent Integrated Management Base provides dashboards to visualize the health of your IT, monitor your performance status, and responseAction(auto) in the event of a failure. It provides a unified way to manage the flow of monitoring, investigating, and handling.
In addition, linking multiple systems with the Intelligent Integrated Management Base enables system administrators to understand the relationships between the systems and the relations between data within the system, thus resulting in fewer burdens on them. For example, if a failure occurs, they can grasp the status of the system easily, without waiting for reports from an infrastructure administrator, business operation manager, or contact person.
The figure below shows an example of a configuration for the Intelligent Integrated Management Base. The source management server needs to have JP1/IM - Agent on integrated agent host in order for the Intelligent Integrated Management server to collect performance data and log information. Integrated agent host administration DB on JP1/IM - Manager maintains and manages integrated agent host from which it is collected. For more information, see " 3.6.3 Integrated agent management function".
On the other hand, management tools and JP1/Base are required on the source Administration Servers to collect business and infrastructural information. In addition, the source Administration Server must be registered in the hierarchical structure (IM configuration) of the system to be managed by JP1/IM.

In the above example, the management servers perform performance monitoring and log monitoring, and the management server obtains status such as jobs and infrastructures of the managed system with adapter commands, manages them by Intelligent Integrated Management Base, and displays them in integrated operation viewer.
