11.3.1 Prerequisite operating systems

The following table lists the prerequisite operating systems for JP1/IM and JP1/Base. For details, see the Release Notes for the applicable products.

Important
  • JP1/IM - View and JP1/IM - Manager do not support JIS level 3 kanji or JIS level 4 kanji. If these characters are used on JP1/IM - View, the characters might become garbled and not work correctly.

  • Do not apply Windows Server 2016 , Windows Server 2019, or Windows Server 2022 data deduplication on the volume on which JP/IM - Manager is installed.

The following describes SELinux for Linux:

  • You can install JP1/IM - Agent for both SELinux enabled and disabled environments.

  • After installing JP1/IM - Agent, if you want to change enable/disable SELinux, you must uninstall JP1/IM - Agent, then change SELinux to enable/disable and reinstall JP1/IM - Agent.

  • SELinux Red Hat Enterprise Linux 8 or later, and Oracle Linux 8 or later is supported.

    Note: Do not perform at the same time any of the following operations related to the overall system:

    • Installing and uninstalling products

    • Operations related to the operating environment, such IM database setup

    • Changing the system configuration and changing settings that affect the entire system

    • Collecting data in response to a problem

    • Maintenance tasks, such as system maintenance
