1.12.11 Specifying Palette Display Settings

You can specify palette display settings. You can specify the following contents:

For details about the items displayed on the palette, see 1.2.3(1) Palette. The contents specified here apply to all business process windows.

Organization of this subsection

(1) Specifying group and tool layout

You can specify the layout of the groups and tools on the palette as follows.

You can use either of the following methods for specifying group and tool layout:

Method 1

Right-click a group or tool on the palette, and select the item to be specified from Layout.

Method 2
  1. Right-click a group or tool on the palette, and choose Setting.

    The Palette Settings dialog opens.

  2. In Layout, select the item to be specified.

(2) Specifying an icon size

You can increase the size of the tool icons on the palette.

You can use either of the following methods for increasing the tool icon size:

Method 1

Right-click a group or tool on the palette, and choose Use large icons.

Method 2
  1. Right-click a group or tool on the palette, and choose Setting.

    The Palette Settings dialog opens.

  2. In List Layout Options, select the Use large icons check box.

(3) Specifying a font

You can change the font for the groups and tools on the palette. You can also return to the default font.

The method for setting a font and the method for returning to the default font are described separately below.

To change the font
  1. Right-click a group or tool on the palette, and choose Setting.

    The Palette Settings dialog opens.

  2. Click the Change button under Font.

To return to the default font
  1. Right-click a group or tool on the palette, and choose Setting.

    The Palette Settings dialog opens.

  2. In Font, click the Restore Default button.

(4) Specifying whether to show or hide tool lists

You can hide the tool lists displayed on the palette. You can also show hidden tool lists. The following figure shows examples in which a tool list is shown and a tool list is hidden.

You can use either of the following methods for showing or hiding a tool list:

Method 1

Click a group on the palette.

Method 2
  1. Right-click a group on the palette, and choose Setting.

    The Palette Settings dialog opens.

  2. Select one of the following radio buttons for Drawer options:

Always close when opening another drawer radio button

Select this button to show the tool list of only a single group.

Close automatiinvokey when there is not enough room radio button

Select this button to automatiinvokey close tool lists if the palette runs out of space when tools lists of multiple groups are being displayed. However, the tool list of any group that is tacked# is not closed even if the palette runs out of space.

Never close radio button

Select this button to never close tools lists regardless of the number of groups being displayed or how much display space is available.

The following two methods are available for tacking a group:

Method 1

Click the [Figure] (thumbtack) icon located to the right of a group on the palette.

Method 2

Right-click a group on the palette, and choose Tack.
