1.11.2 Deleting Elements
This subsection explains how to delete elements from the Binary Format Definition Editor.
To delete an element:

Select the element to be deleted.

Right-click the element and click Delete, or press the Delete key.
The following elements cannot be deleted:

Globally defined simple content elements and complex content elements that are referenced from components

A complex content element that is specified as the root element
For the following types of elements, a deletion confirmation warning message is displayed:

A simple content element (target node) that determines the occurrence count or size of another element
-
A simple content element (selection condition node) that has a selection condition value for another element
