You can specify only an element() schema and a shorthand pointer as a possible schema for the xpointer attribute of the xi:include element. |

If you specify a shorthand pointer for the xpointer attribute of the xi:include element, the shorthand pointer must be an attribute value of an attribute that is defined as an ID type in the DTD. You cannot specify an attribute value of an attribute that is defined as xsd:ID type in the XML Schema. |
