I. Abstract parameters available with the Smart Composer Functionality (in V9 compatibility mode)

The Smart Composer functionality provides the parameters that are related to each other as a combined parameter. This parameter is called as abstract parameter. The abstract parameter is not the effective parameter for individual product; rather this is the parameter that is defined as the performance requirement of systems from the standpoint of system designing. The following abstract parameter will be used with the Smart Composer functionality:

Maximum number of concurrently processed requests

This is the maximum number of requests processed concurrently in one service unit. A request is the series of business processes that originates with HTTP requests sent by clients.

When you execute the cmx_trans_param command, the defined abstract parameter values are deployed as multiple effective parameters according to deployment rules. Note that the default parameter values are used for other effective parameters. For details on the individual parameters, see 4. Files Used by the Smart Composer Functionality in the uCosminexus Application Server Definition Reference Guide.

The deployment functionality of the abstract parameter can be used only when the physical tier is the combined-tier configuration. A physical tier that is not the combined-tier configuration requires a parameter definition design, same as for the Web system setup, when the Smart Composer functionality is not used.

This appendix describes the deployment of abstract parameters and effective parameters that are deployed by the abstract parameters.
