Function

This command collects snapshot logs. You can use snapshot logs for investigative purposes when a problem has occurred in a job system. You can execute this command even when Management Server is not being used for operations. You can also use this command for collecting the defined delivery material.

Arguments

output-file-name

Specifies the zipped file to which the collected snapshot logs are to be output.

If a file name only is specified, a zipped file with the specified name is created under the current directory.

If a file path is specified, a zipped file with the specified name is created under the specified directory.

Even if an extension other than .zip is specified, the logs are output to the file in zipped format.

snapshot-log-collection-target-definition-file-name

Specifies the full path for the snapshot log collection target definition file. If this argument is omitted, the file given below becomes the collection target. If the file name contains a space, the file name must be enclosed in double quotation marks ("").

• In Windows:

  Cosminexus-installation-directory\manager\config\snapshotlog.conf

• In UNIX:

  /opt/Cosminexus/manager/config/snapshotlog.conf

Input examples

Output logs to the current directory:

snapshotlog snapshot.zip

Output logs to a specified directory:

• In Windows:

  snapshotlog c:\tmp\snapshot.zip

• In UNIX:

  snapshotlog /tmp/snapshot.zip

Specify a snapshot log collection target definition file:

• In Windows:

  snapshotlog snapshot.zip c:\temp\snapshotlog.conf

• In UNIX:

  snapshotlog snapshot.zip /temp/snapshotlog.conf

Output the defined material to the specified directory:

• In Windows:

  snapshotlog c:\tmp\snapshot.zip Application-Server-installation-directory\manager\config\snapshotlog.param.conf

• In UNIX:

  snapshotlog /tmp/snapshot.zip /opt/Cosminexus/manager/config/snapshotlog.param.conf
