7.3.9 collect
This subcommand collects the files and other items specified in the argument. If a logical server other than a performance tracer or CTM is specified by the -t option, an error occurs.
The following table lists and describes the argument that can be specified for the collect subcommand.
Argument |
Explanation |
Target specification |

---|---|---|---|
Logical server |

allPrfTraces |
Collects performance analysis traces for all performance tracers in the management domain. |

You can use the collect subcommand to execute the following three types of operations:
-
Specify the allPrfTraces or prfTrace argument to collect performance analysis traces for active performance tracers.
When allPrfTraces is specified for the argument, the subcommand collects performance analysis traces for all performance tracers in the management domain.
When prfTraces is specified for the argument, the subcommand collects a performance analysis trace for the performance tracer specified by the -t option or the performance tracer in the host specified by the -t option.
The performance analysis trace is output to Manager-log-output-directory\prf\ (in Windows) or Manager-log-output-directory/prf/ (in UNIX).
The performance analysis trace file is output with the file names given in the following table, for each trace information collection target:
-
When the domain is specified: management-domain-name-date-and-time#.zip
-
When the host is specified: host-name-date-and-time#.zip
-
When the logical server is specified: logical-server-name-date-and-time#.zip
-
-
Specify the allCtmStatistics or ctmStatistics argument to collect the statistics of a running CTM.
When allCtmStatistics is specified for the argument, the subcommand collects the statistics of all CTMs in the management domain.
When ctmStatistics is specified for the argument, the subcommand collects the statistics of the CTM specified by the -t option, or a CTM in the specified host.
The file for collecting the CTM statistics output in CSV format in the CTM startup host is archived in the ZIP format, and the host-name-logical-server-name-date-and-time.zip file is created. Furthermore, when the file is forwarded to Management Server, it is saved in the Manager-log-output-directory\ctm\ (in Windows), or the Manager-log-output-directory/ctm/ (in UNIX). If the domain or the host is specified, multiple files are saved as one file in the ZIP format, and if the logical server is specified, the file name is changed and saved.
-
When the domain is specified: domain-name-date-and-time#.zip
-
When the host is specified: host-name-date-and-time#.zip
-
When the logical server is specified: logical-server-name-date-and-time#.zip
-
-
Specify the snapshot argument to collect a snapshot log.
When snapshot is specified for the argument, the subcommand collects a snapshot log in the host specified by the -t option. Installation information and OS status information are also collected. If a logical server is specified for the -t option, an error occurs.
When collection is successful, the following file names created in ZIP format are displayed:
-
Primary data to be sent: snapshot-host-name-log-date-and-time#.zip
-
Secondary data to be sent: snapshot-host-name-log-date-and-time#.2.zip
-
- #
-
The value of the date-and-time portion has one of the following formats:
- yyyyMMddHHmmss
- yyyyMMddHHmmss+hhmm
- yyyyMMddHHmmss-hhmm
