ctmlogcat (edit and output messages)
- Organization of this page
Format
ctmlogcat [-h] | [-d | -t CTM-identifier]
Function
This command edits messages output by CTM, and then outputs them to the standard output. You can use options to specify whether to output the CTM log or CTM domain log.
Arguments
- -h
-
Displays how to use the command.
- -d
-
Outputs CTM domain log data.
- -t CTM-identifier
-
Outputs the CTM log for the specified CTM identifier. You can specify 1 to 31 alphanumeric characters and underscores (_). If this argument is omitted, an IP address is set.
If all options are omitted, the -t option is set with an IP address assumed as a CTM identifier. To output CTM logs in a multi-homed host environment, you must not omit the -t option.
For example, if the IP address of the host is 192.17.113.19, -t 192.17.113.19 is set.
Return values
- 0:
-
The command is terminated normally. 0 is also returned if there is no data to be output (the KFCT73591-I message is output) or if the -h option is specified.
- Other than 0:
-
The command terminated abnormally because an error occurred during command processing. Take the corrective action indicated in the output message, and then re-execute the command.
Notes
-
The CTMSPOOL environment variable must be already set when the ctmlogcat command is executed.
-
To specify the -t option, the CTMSPOOL environment variable must be specified for the execution environment in which CTM with the specified CTM identifier is running.
-
To specify the -d option, the CTMSPOOL environment variable must be specified during execution of the CTM domain manager.
-
-
If the update date and time of a log information file stored under CTMSPOOL is changed, the ctmlogcat command might not be able to edit messages in the correct order.
