3.4.2 Notes on names to be specified in commands

When executing commands in operations, specify the following 4 names in accordance with the command in use. Use command or Easy Setup definition file to confirm the mapping of each name.

Use the following method to confirm the mapping of each name.

  1. Confirm the mapping of the following names by executing cmx_list_model command with the command prompt:

    • Host name

    • Web system name

    • Service unit name

    • Logical Server name

    Execution example:
    cmx_list_model -m localhost:28080 -u admin -modeltype SERVEREX -all
    cmx_sample-system_unit1_PRF_01,PerformanceTracer,host1,combined-tier,unit1,sample-system
    cmx_sample-system_unit1_J2EE_01,J2EEServer,host1,combined-tier,unit1,sample-system
    cmx_sample-system_unit1_HTTP_01,WebServer,host1,combined-tier,unit1,sample-system
    cmx_sample-system_unit2_PRF_01,PerformanceTracer,host2,combined-tier,unit2,sample-system
    cmx_sample-system_unit2_J2EE_01,J2EEServer,host2,combined-tier,unit2,sample-system
    cmx_sample-system_unit2_HTTP_01,WebServer,host2,combined-tier,unit2,sample-system
  2. Confirm the mapping of the following names with the Easy Setup definition file:

    • Logical server name (logical-server-name)

      If a logical server name is not defined, the name is automatically generated.

    • Real server name (realservername)

      When a real server name is not defined, a name same as the logical server name is set.
