1.1 Operation management tool
The management functionality of Application Server provides the following tools. You can select which tools to use depending on the method you want to use (such as windows or commands) and the system configuration you want to set up. These tools operate as a part of the same management functionality, so you can also use different tools depending on the timing of the tasks (setup, operations), and the contents to be set.

Setup Wizard
Use this tool for setup. You can set up the system by selecting or setting items in accordance with the dialog boxes displayed in the interactive wizard.

Management Portal (INTENTIONALLY DELETED)
Use this tool for setup and operations. You can set up the system by selecting the items in GUI windows, or by entering text values.

Smart Composer functionality
Use this tool for setup and operations. You can set up the system by setting the parameters in a file and applying the file contents by using commands.
When setting up a system that executes online operations, and allocates the Web server as well as the J2EE server, use the Setup Wizard for system setup and management portal for operations. Setup Wizard enables the smooth setup of a system with the functionality provided as default by Application Server; just by executing the interactive operations after installing the product. By using the management portal, you can start or stop all the systems in a batch, and confirm the operational status of system just by clicking items or buttons on the GUI window. Use the Smart Composer functionality to set up the system with detailed designing.
However, you cannot use the Setup Wizard to set up the system if the following requirement is fulfilled. In this case, set up the system by using the management portal or the Smart Composer functionality.
