Cause

A job could not be executed.

jjjjjjjj: Job type

Install package: Install package job

Collect files from client: Collect files from agent job

Send package, allow client to choose: Send package, allow client users to choose job

xxxxxxxx: Job number

yyyyyyyy: Instruction number

This information is output for an Install package job or Send package, allow client users to choose job only.

d.cc.pppppp.vvvv.ssss: Package information

- d: Packager type

C: Package registered from a UNIX packager (Packager)

D: Package registered from a Windows packager

- cc: Cabinet ID

- pppppp: Package ID

- vvvv: Version number and the revision number

- ssss: Generation number

nnnnnnnn: Package name

ffffffff: Package maintenance information

iiiiiiii: Installation destination path name (Note: If a Hitachi program product is installed at the default installation destination, the correct value is not displayed.)

Cause: The cause of the error. Information is output with one of the following four patterns:

1) The installer cccccccc, Code=0xdd, zzzzzzzz

Job execution failed because of a problem with the installer of a Hitachi program product or another company's software.

cccccccc: What happened in the installer:

- was not started because of an error

- resulted in an error

- terminated by a timeout

0xdd: Error code

zzzzzzzz: Maintenance information

2) An external program aaaaaaaa, Code=0xdd, zzzzzzzz

Job execution failed because of a problem with an external program.

aaaaaaaa: What happened in the external program:

- was not started because of an error

- resulted in an error

- terminated by a timeout

zzzzzzzz: Maintenance information

3) An error occurred in unarchiving or archiving a file, eeeeeeee error, Code=mm[: nnnnnn][, zzzzzzzz]

Job execution failed because an error occurred while a file was being unarchived or archived.

eeeeeeee: Error type

Win32: Win32 API error

Socket: Socket error

Runtime: C runtime error

mm: Error code

nnnnnn: Explanation of the error code indicated by mm

zzzzzzzz: Maintenance information

4) An installation conditions error occurred: pppppppp, zzzzzzzz

Job execution failed because of an installation condition error.

pppppppp: Installation condition (system or software condition) that caused the error

zzzzzzzz: Maintenance information

kkkkkkkkkkkkkk: Maintenance code (same code as for Remote Install Manager)

ssssssss: Explanation of the maintenance code

Action

Take action after referring to the maintenance code's explanation output at ssssssss. In addition, take action according to the cause indicated in the message as shown below:

  • Cause=The installer cccccccc, Code=0xdd, zzzzzzzz

    If no explanation is output at ssssssss, determine why Code=0xdd is returned, by referring to the documentation for the relevant program product or software.

  • Cause=An external program aaaaaaaa, Code=0xdd, zzzzzzzz
