K. Working with JP1/SLM

PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications can enhance its monitoring capabilities by working with JP1/SLM.

To achieve monitoring in JP1/SLM, PFM - Agent for Enterprise Applications provides PFM - Manager with the default monitoring items for JP1/SLM.

Average time the user waits until the user's request is processed at the front end (response time, network transfer time, and front-end processing time) (milliseconds).

Dialog step processing time

Indicates the time required for processing dialog steps. This value includes the database processing time, but not the network transfer time nor the front-end processing time. The value displayed here is the average value for dialog steps (milliseconds).

Response time of standard transactions

Response time of standard transactions. These standard transactions simulate the normal loads of transactions by accessing data in the database and executing a series of ABAP function modules (milliseconds).

These default monitoring items do not require any setup in PFM - Agent because they are automatically registered to PFM - Manager when PFM - Manager is installed.

However, the setup command must be executed in PFM - Manager if the data model version of PFM - Agent in use is not included in the Release Notes for PFM - Manager.
